Job Season

Hey all. I don't know how many of you keep up with this blog any more, but I thought I would share something. Employers are looking for workers now since you are all in your last semester. Please keep your portfolios handy, updated, and easily accessible. If you have a blog, you should have a second one or a website that has your best work on it. I know you get this from you teachers all the time, but it's so true! Good luck to you all and keep that fire burning.

James Thurber stayed here from 1901-03 in Church Falls, VA when he was about 7 years old. This was where James and his brother shot arrows at each other. Looks kind of creepy like I'm standing in front of someone's tombstone. :0

i'm have problems picking her age. for the "nice" version i'm trying to make it have a feeling of a favorite auntie or grandma... i can't decide. So the "evil" one is suppose to be a bitter women. i'm still working out my story. its suppose to be a dimsum float, set in san francisco. she lures little children, kidnaps them, and cooks them for the stuffing of pork buns(cha siu bao). anyway, if you guys like any that would help me go into a direction. thanks

I combined ideas from a few of your comps into this one. I don't think this whale works that great, but I thought having part of the whale in some way would be important in that comp.

moment sketches

These are some rough photoshop sketches of moment pieces. I was trying to just illustrate some of the main beats of the story. Do any look like they could be a full blown moment piece? Any feedback would be appreciated

I have been redesigning my ship, and thought I would post my sketches and get peoples' opinions, if anything stands out. I have trying to mix functionality with design, but am not sure any of these boats look like they could take on a whale. Any thoughts?
