I have been redesigning my ship, and thought I would post my sketches and get peoples' opinions, if anything stands out. I have trying to mix functionality with design, but am not sure any of these boats look like they could take on a whale. Any thoughts?

ReplyDeleteI agree with Paul, 24 & 25 seem stronger. I do like how you're starting to explore some boat decal in 4. In your 3/4 view of the boat that you drew, I think you lost some of that height of the sails and sharp triangular shapes that was in the side views. I hope that makes sense, my brain is wonky. Hope that helps.
i like 24 and 25, because i love how you pushed the length and shape of the sails, but i also like the boat section of #13 because of how you exaggerated the shape, but the size of the sails make me feel that the ship might be too small to take on a whale. maybe you can find a combo of the thinking you put in for all three?
