Hey folks, I have some more detailed sketches for my squid monster -- crits? I'm trying to somehow show that it's big... but keep interesting shapes at the same time. Really trying to make sure that body segments aren't the same length. Anyway, lemme know!

I think they have all nice gestures and they make good silhouette.
ReplyDeletebut it is difficult to tell its size. One of the ways to make it looks big might be that using some extreme perspective to exaggerate its size. I hope it helps.

ReplyDeleteMaybe change the layout of the page. The Squid Monsters look confined. Presentation could help. Also maybe instead of having the character stand next to the Squid, maybe consider a small fish, or something a squid eats? Hope this helps a little. Good Lucks ^^!
