Hey guys! I too felt like I needed to throw something up there so heres my interior. I still have miles to go. I know need to do lighting properly, a lot more careful painting, and there are other issues like color and what not, but I figured that if you guys spotted something that felt just downright weird I'd really appreciate the heads up. Thanks!

  1. Katie, this is going to look great when you are done. The ellipse of the table lamp caught my eye right away because it appears a little misshapen. Just keep painting! Make sure to consider how all the different objects in the room are going to cast shadows on each other. With not cast shadows right now the image is getting a little flat.

  2. Hey Katie, I agree with Liz, with having the cast shadows. But u probably already know that since ur stuff is still in-progress. just to point out the ceiling lamp seems to catch my eye more since its not in shadow yet. this ceiling lamp is probably something that you'll get to as well.the rectangular carpet catches my eye also, maybe dull the colors on it alil more. but damn, i like ur stuff, ur line work is pretty solid to me.

  3. Hey Katie, it's looking pretty sweet so far. Though isn't the ladder suppose to converge at its base? Unless your playing with the perspective on purpose. Good luck!

  4. Thanks guys! Hmm about the ladder, it converges a tiny bit, but if it converges more it looks weird because the vanishing point is really far away.

  5. Looks good Katie! I agree with what was said so far about shadows, etc. Just minor perspective things that get me....the top surface of the green dresser next to him seems to be diverging as it recedes to the upper right of the picture plane. Similarly, there's a red box on a little table to the man's left. Its verticals are actually vertical, while all the other objects around it have 'verticals' that are not straight up and down, but converging to a common point. So it makes that box look like it's leaning back and not actually sitting on that little night stand thingy. Can't wait to see it all done.
