This is my progress so far.  The castle is more of a place holder at this point.  I'm going back to an earlier drawing with that kind of shape.  When I look at both comps together they look like they're in different places.  The castle is high altitude and the forest is low woodland.  I'm not sure if this will work or I need to make them match more.  Both comps also don't look very scary to me.  I'm not sure how to resolve that.  Thanks.
