Hey guys, I have been trying to flesh out my character's pose before painting. I want to be a bit mad with obsession, without losing all of her mental capacities. I'd love to hear what people think!

  1. Liz, awesome pose, and she does look nuts with those eyes! I would say that you can design the hair a little more, breaking some of those flowy shapes. Also her left hand seems tangent to her coat. That's my thought, but the overall character with great!

  2. Pose-wise I would push the diagonals more. She looks angry but she doesn't feel tense with rage/mania. Her upper body looks mad, but her front leg looks like she's about to alight gently onto moby's back. I think you need some straighter straights to show flexed muscles poised to strike. Maybe look at photos of sprinters going all out, every muscle is contributing to their movement.

  3. Hey Liz I think you've done a great job controlling the viewers eye's right to her deep dark eyes. Thats really cool, a great place of rest around the fluffy shapes on her costume. I think the pose is almost there too. I might shift her shoulders to offset them a little more. Maybe she could lead with her left arm/shoulder. And then I'm assuming at this moment she is flying through the air. I might suggest having her foot on a railing or the ship deck that gives you something to ground her to. Keep up the good work!
