Here's my updated value studies.  The top one is supposed to be a sunset and the bottom one more foggy.

    I like the foggy.

    The shapes of your forest are creating a big empty space where I expect something important to be, but the main shapes of your castle are directly blocked by that tree. I would experiment with the placing of the castle in relation to the tree, because right now it reads to me as "I don't want you to see the castle very well so I am going to put a tree in front of it".
